I looked at Wordpress and also foliolink, a paid website design company, that specialises in artist websites. Although I think websites are important for artists and their practice, I don't think I need one.
I don't want to be a freelance artist or illustrator, I want to be a teacher so I don't think it would be necessary for me to have one. I did like some of the designs, especially on folio link, but it was quite pricey at $21 a month for the best plan. This is obviously American so the price would be different once converted but it would be a lot of money for someone who wouldn't be needing it for their profession. I do like wordpress, I think it is really good, i started my own account at the end of last year, but I think when I finish my degree, and if I wanted to post personal work, I would rather use social media if I didn't want to sell anything. Social media is just as good as a website and even more so, depending on what you want out of it. Work could be shared and seen far quicker than a website potentially could, so in my case I think I would stick to Instagram etc.
